GROUND RULES
2000/2001
1.1 All players must be financially registered with the Hedland T Ball Association by their first playing game.
1.2 All players to be registered by the Registrar of the Hedland T Ball Association on the official Hedland T Ball Association Registration Form.
1.3 All unregistered/unfinancial player/s found playing with a registered Hedland T Ball Association team will forfeit the game for that team. The score will be recorded as 9 – 0.
2.1 Footwear to be worn during all fixtured match games by all players registered with the Hedland T Ball Asociation will be flat soled, enclosed, runners, joggers, sandshoes, sneakers which will be known as ‘authorized’ footwear. Cleats, hard plastic soles or studs of any description will be deemed as “unacceptable” and “unauthorized” footwear.
2.2 Players found wearing ‘unacceptable’ or ‘unauthorized footwear” will immediately be removed from the game.
3.1 Any complaints voiced during games are to be formally submitted in writing to umpires/coaches or to the Hedland T Ball Association’s Liaison Officer no later than the Monday following the game. If required, the Committee will address and reply to the matter formally in writing at the next meeting convened by the Hedland T Ball Association. After this date no correspondence will be entered
4.1 The Hedland T Ball Association and all affiliated teams will provide each team with a uniform comprising of pants and shirt. Each team player must wear the uniform provided to participate in all fixtured games to be played.
4.2 The Hedland T Ball Association will provide a standard cap and encourages all players to wear this hat. It is the West Australian T Ball Association’s rule that a hat must be worn or the player is not permitted to participate in any game.
5.1 All Tees used in the Hedland T Ball Association’s fixtured games will be of the fold down design. No other Tees will be accepted other than the fold down design which will be provided by the Hedland T Ball Association.
6.1 Juniors Boys turning 6, 7 or 8 in current year.
Girls turning 6, 7, 8 or 9 in current year.
6.2 Intermediates Boys turning 9 or 10 in current year
Girls turning 10 or 11 in current year
6.3 Seniors Boys turning 11 or 12 in current year
Girls turning 12 or 13 in current year.
6.4 Cut off for all age groups will be 31st December in current year.
6.5 Children may play up or down a level at the discretion of the committee
6.6 Children may play up one year only above their correct age group ie they must play at least one year in their correct age group.
7.1 Any player requesting to play outside of the stipulated age group will in the first instance complete the official Hedland T Ball Association Registration form with the Registrar in the required age group with a notation in the specified section of “Special Requests” that the player wishes to be considered to play above the nominated age group.
7.2 All such requests will be tabled by the Registrar at the first meeting of the Executive Committee upon closing of Registration dates and will be reviewed on merit at the Committee’s discretion.
8.1 Maximum of twelve (12) only registered players per team.
9.1 Juniors to use a practise rubber baseball.
9.2 Intermediates to use a synthetic covered baseball
9.3 Seniors to use a synthetic covered baseball
9.4 New game balls for senior and intermediate divisions only for each and home teams will retain new game ball upon completion of game.
10.1 No game may be rescheduled without the prior notification and approval of the Registrar. Consideration will only be given in extenuating circumstances.
